Don't you just know that two kids from a town call "the box" (El Cajon) would wind up one day in the secret drawers of the "X-Files". That is true destiny. These two young gifted writers of TV fame, Glen Morgan and James Wong, have known each other since high school days. After they graduated from Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles, they became partners in the craft of story telling through movies and TV shows. Way before they got dissected by Dana Scully, they got started with "The Boys Next Door." This murderous first film (circa 1985) starred, then a nice young man, Charlie Sheen. (I believed that Charlie even called me sir when we shook hands at the set.) That was many moons ago. Since you probably never saw this film on the big screen, you can run out to your favorite rent-a-movie place and request the video. Their children will thank you. If you liked "Twenty One Jump Street" or "The Commish", then you probably have enjoyed one of their episodes. They have been honored for some of their socially conscientious story themes. However, their great success came with "The X-Files". How they came up with some of these weird story lines, I'd never know. Believe me, as James' uncle, I had nothing to do with it. I wonder about their parents though. Maybe it is the polluted air in Los Angeles. Their success with "The X-Files" opened the door for their present TV show, "SPACE: Above and Beyond". From senior staff writers with "X-Files", they are now executive producers of "SPACE". (Unfortunately, I have not received an offer for a minor speaking part, yet!) I wanted to show you what this writing duo looks like. But, they are camera shy. So, the best that I can do is to show you their naked baby pictures? No, that would kill my chances for a show biz career. So, since they don't want you to see their greying hair or their peachy youthful rears, we will compromise with their 1979 high school senior pictures.
