The Sixth Chinese American Conference

From Gold Mountain to the New Millennium

July 9 - 11, 1999, University of San Diego, San Diego, CA, U.S.A.

The Chinese Historical Society of Greater San Diego and Baja California along with co-sponsors Chinese Historical Society of America and Chinese Historical Society of Southern California invite you to attend the Sixth Chinese American Conference to be held at the University of San Diego (USD) from July 9-11, 1999.

The conference theme is inspired by the State of California's Sesquicentennial commemoration, which coincides with 150 years of the Chinese American experience in California. The conference will include panels and papers on the history of the Chinese American experience; archeological findings and historic preservation, films, video, and literature; Chinese Americans in different fields, improving the image, and meeting the challenge of the new millennium.

Accommodations and meals for the entire conference are available at the University of San Diego.  Please reserve this weekend on your calendar and plan to spend some additional time visiting San Diego.
