On July 1, 1997, Hong Kong returns to China's control. Its fiercely democratic governor is in the United States to strengthen economic ties to the West. Elizabeth Farnsworth looks at 150 years of British rule and talks to Governor Christopher Patten, the man in charge of moving Hong Kong from British to Chinese control.
