| The 2002 FCC-SD Chinese New Year Celebration was held on February 23rd at the Poway Community Center. It was a wonderful occasion with lots of friends, good food, crafts, performances and our first, and very successful, FCC-SD Silent Auction. We were also very fortunate to enjoy the help of many volunteers! |

| Many of the children played on the large stage before and after the presentations. |

The craft area was very popular with our younger guests,
who created beautiful lanterns and other decorations.
Crafts were designed and guided by Lisa Koide and Susan Semb. |

Former FCC-SD President Susan Strachan was honored for her dedicated service to our group.

| There were special presentations by Rochelle B., Anna W., Robbie W., and Cressy B. |

| Families whose children attend the San Diego Chinese Academy assembled for a festive New Year's presentation! |

| And the North Country Chinese School delighted the audience with their Lion Dance! |

| And it wouldn't be a New Year Celebration without Ray Quon and the Lucky Lion Dance Troupe, under the direction of Albert Wong! |
